We aim to provide quality bunkhouse accommodation to groups of outdoor enthusiasts. We believe that we have one of the nicest bunkhouses in Britain in a beautiful location – we hope you will too!
Situated in the heart of Snowdonia National Park with good access by road, the Longhouse cottage is picturesquely built of thick stone walls with a slate roof. It is attached to the former Quarry Manager's House & quarry hospital, and is situated in a very beautiful, wooded valley with the Afon Llugwy flowing by at the bottom of the garden. Moel Siabod is the dominating local mountain, with its ascending track starting just opposite the Longhouse. The Longhouse has a fantastic riverside location, and offers excellent access to the mountains of the region. It is a wonderful base for an outdoor activity holiday, and is also ideally situated as a base for which to explore North Wales and Anglesey. The Longhouse is open all year round.
In brief, the Longhouse is a fully equipped, spacious self-catering let, and nearby there are several places that offer great food throughout the day and evening, including a vegetarian pub. See our facilities section for more information.
